Gull Lake

Location:  On the June Lake Loop.  The town of June Lake actually lies between June Lake and Gull Lake - quite walk able between the two.

Getting There:  US HWY 395 to the June Lake turnoff - about 2 miles to June Lake, less than another mile to reach Gull Lake, which is actually on the west side of the town of June Lake.

Camping/Lodging: Several RV parks in area.  Lots of great hotels and inns (albeit pricey in season, this is a very popular area!  Gull Lake Campground has most sites along the lake shore.

Put-In/Take-Out: There is a car-top put in at the west end of the lake - drive west just past the Gull Lake Campground, and there will be a sign and turn-off on a dirt road (on the north side of the road), before you reach the parking lot for the June Ski Resort (on the south side of the road).  There is also a marina on the east end of the lake.

Good Points:  Although small, this is a very pretty lake, with wonderful mountains surrounding 2/3, great food and eats nearby.

Not-as-Good Points:  Wish it were a little larger, but this is a pretty lake, close to amenities.

Lake Size:

Car Top Put-in has both a floating dock, and rock area shown is covered by a rubber grid. You won't scratch your boat! Ducks will move for you :)

Gull Lake Marina - there is a great little gift shop here, with lots of unique fishing related gifts.

Marina also has a large selection outdoor carvings for sale.
