North Lake

Pretty, but small lake just off Hwy 168 from Bishop, and close to Lake Sabrina.  Not really big enough to be worth paddling, but has good fishing.  There is a narrow road for access, mostly dirt with a few turnouts.  Trailers not recommended, and 15 mph for most of the distance.  Lake is more suited to fishing from shoreline or on float tubes.  We decided to post these photos for those curious about the lake and if it was worth kayaking.   Photos from July 8, 2008.

Road from packers station into eastern portion of lake, however, gate closed so access to Fish & Game for restocking only.
