As mentioned elsewhere on this site, there are quite a few lakes in California carrying the Twin Lakes moniker.  This Twin Lakes is located a short drive southwest of Bridgeport, CA.

There are two lakes, Upper and Lower Twin Lakes.  Lower is not quite as attractive, but excellent for fishing.  Upper Twin Lakes is quite beautiful.  The Upper lake also features an excellent private campground at the head of the lake, Mono Village.  There is a launch ramp at Mono Village, and you can also put-in car toppers at many locations.  Photos in the first set below are of Upper Twin Lakes.  Skiboats are allowed on Upper Twin, there is a low speed limit on Lower Twin.
