Yosemite Valley

Photos of a run taken mid-July 2009.  Eastern Sierra Kayak and Canoe Club paddle from Stoneman Bridge to Sentinel Beach.  This is the only area in the Valley you are allowed to raft or kayak in.  Generally allowed May/June/July based on flows.  Class 1, just a few minor ripples.  Wonderful views, although summer in Yosemite Valley is not exactly getting away from the crowds!  You can park close to the put in - we were able to park about 1 block away.  Put-in is at the southwest corner of the bridge - path leads to the river and beach - or just follow the masses who have rented blue rental rafts from Curry Village right nearby.
